Ellie Maniaci is a sophomore and this is her first year being a member of the Occidentalist staff. She joined the newspaper due to her love of writing, desire to learn about the many aspects of journalism, and to improve her previous skills. Outside of school, she greatly enjoys reading, photography, and spending time with her friends and family.
