Ella Rintala joined The Occidentalist as a freshman in the 2018-2019 school year. After going to school in Pennsylvania for two years, she is excited to be back on Occidentalist staff for her senior year. She joined the newspaper because she loves writing and wants to get experience with these skills in an impactful way. In her free time, she loves reading, listening to Taylor Swift and Phoebe Bridgers, and cuddling with her dogs.
