During the last four years U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has logged more than 5.4 million illegal border crossings, plus at least 1.5 million which were unable to be traced. Under the Biden Administration our border is as secure as a grocery store. Open and welcoming. The United States must protect the border to prevent illegals from entering because it promotes illegal and cartel activity which could lead to an attack within the United States.
When it comes to the border crisis, there’s no single facet that encapsulates the entire problem. Whether it’s the pure number of migrants overwhelming Border Patrol and the municipal services of the towns they’re crossing into, or the illicit drugs like fentanyl pouring over the border, or the Biden administration’s willful disregard for the lives of unaccompanied children.According to Texas senator Jim Cornyn, “President Biden and senior officials within his administration knew that children were being abused and trafficked because of their actions, and not only did they do nothing to stop it, they even worked to move kids out of government care & into this abuse faster.”
The Biden administration cannot tell you where these children are, whether they are fed, put to school, abused or exploited. Over the past few years, the Department of Health and Human Services has received numerous warnings that children are at risk. Those warnings came from its own hotline, government contractors and a large number of employees who raised the alert. Senior authorities at HHS and the White House not only ignored whistleblowers’ warnings but also attempted to silence them.
Not only is the migrant crossing an issue at the southern border but there also seems to be a presence with cartel members and drug traffickers. The most popular drug which is manufactured using Chinese chemicals and products is fentanyl. The fentanyl epidemic is killing more than 70,000 people a year in the United States, making it the leading cause of death for Americans ages 18 to 49. The majority of these shipments arrive through the southern border when border patrol agents are too busy dealing with illegal migrants. Ben Shapiro, a journalist from the Daily Wire, visited the border in three states. Texas, Arizona and New Mexico the worst of the crossings reported by the Daily Wire to have been located in Arizona, a blue state. The cartel is utilizing drones to scout for border patrol and have developed a skill set for locations on outposts and points of operation of border patrol. One tool that the cartel uses is drones. In 2022, 10,000 illegal cartel drones crossed the US-Mexico border. As technology advances, drones’ range and cargo capacity increase. Drones are purchased in the United States and modified to use as weapons or drug mules. When Ben Shapiro visited the border in January, he was spied on by these drones. The drones were in United States airspace originating from Mexico.
The threat to national security is at an all time high. 5.4 million illegal border crossings, plus at least 1.5 million which were unable to be traced in the last four years. The Biden administration has failed at keeping the United States. Countless drugs currently enter the United States every day. Migrants use children to gain hospitality in the United States only to be set free in the United States. The border is in shambles and is a threat to national security. Texas is the only state who is actually defending our nation from these threats.
