After dropping the hit single “Choosin Texas” in the fall of 2025: it became the longest running number one song ever to top the Billboard Top 100’s by a women country artist.
Ella Langley quickly grew to mainstream fame, and now she’s a face many people know. Following “Choosin Texas” released on Oct. 17, 2025, she released two more singles; “Dandelion” released on Jan. 30, 2026, and “Be Her” released on Feb. 13, 2026, that would be featured in her sophomore album “Dandelion” released on April 10, 2026. Her second studio album with 18 songs following up to her 2024 debut album “Hungover.” “Dandelion” was co-produced by Langley, Miranda Lambert, and Ben West. Giving a theme of growth, resilience, and stepping into a new chapter of life, often giving a 70s honky tonk vibe and classic country sound. Of support of her new album, Langley launched her very first area tour in the United States “The Dandelion Tour” for summer of 2026.
Langley worked with a few producers on the album including Joybeth Taylor, Austin Goodloe, Brett Tyler, Miranda Lambert, Luke Dick, Ben West, Aaron Ratiere, Helene Cronin, Laura Veltz, Meg Mcrae, and Chris LaCorte.
In the summer of 2025, after touring and opening for Morgan Wallen halfway through the tour, she stopped opening for Wallen. Needing a break and feeling burnt out, “Dandelion” reflects on the time she had over her break and that exhausted feeling; not knowing which direction to go. The album shows herself as a newer refreshed person—different from her last album, Hungover.
With overnight fame, I also think “Dandelion” reflects her songs sounding more commercial or mainstream, rather than authentic like her previous work. Either way, I still very much enjoyed her new album: it felt like a breath of fresh air. Every song has its own identity. I am a big fan of her slower ballads on “Dandelion” too, it’s one of her best strengths. Previously, she did a lot of slower songs or sadder ones—but now she’s switching it up to a faster pace.
